TCAA Treasurer Biography

Warren C. Joyce

Mr. Warren C. Joyce is a Charter Member of TCAA (1995) and was first elected Treasurer in 2001.  Mr. Joyce is a retired Transportation Corps officer with over 25 years Federal service.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University where he received his Army commission as a Distinguished Military Graduate of the ROTC program.  He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Transportation and Industrial Management from the University of Tennessee.  Mr. Joyce’s Army assignments include:

  • Project Coordinator, XV-5A fan-in-wing aircraft, Army Aviation Materiel Laboratories

  • Aircraft Maintenance Officer, 1st Cavalry Division, Vietnam

  • Deputy Director, Office of Programs and Management, US Army Transportation School, Fort Eustis

  • Commander, Radio Research Aviation Companies, Vietnam

  • Executive Officer to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Intelligence, Headquarters, US Army Europe and 7th Army, Heidelberg, Germany

  • Commander, 582d Transportation Company (Aircraft Direct Support), Germany, where the unit was recognized as the outstanding aviation support unit of 1971 in US Army Europe

  •  Chief, Intelligence Division, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, Theater Army Support Command Europe, Kaiserslautern, Germany 

  •  Chief, Aircraft Repairman Training Division, Aviation Maintenance Training Department, Fort Eustis

  • Chief, Management and Quality Assurance Division, Aviation Maintenance Training Department, Fort Eustis

  •  Executive Officer to the Deputy Commandant for Combat and Training Developments, US Army Transportation School, Fort Eustis

  • Project Officer and Chief, Materiel Systems Development Division, Directorate of Combat Developments, US Army Transportation School, Fort Eustis

Mr. Joyce is fixed and rotary wing rated and wears the Senior Army Aviator Badge.

He is a Life Member of the Army Aviation Association of America and has been the Secretary of the Quad-A Chapter in Heidelberg, Germany, and the Secretary of the Colonial Virginia Chapter at Fort Eustis.  Mr. Joyce is currently also serving on the Board of Directors of the Army Transportation Museum Foundation (ATMF).

Mr. Joyce has been a life-long art enthusiast, and after retirement from the Army he has pursued his love of art with vigor.  He was hired a Exhibition Director for a nationwide art gallery, and later became its Sales Director.  Warren began his own business of wholesaling fine art prints to galleries, gift shops, and frame shops especially in the Williamsburg and Outer Banks areas.

Mr. Warren C. Joyce lives in Newport News, Virginia.
